BPL ThinkTank

BPL ThinkTank was Brooklyn Public Library’s first unconference. The event gave staff from across the borough’s 60 branches a chance to explore new ideas in librarianship freely and voluntarily.

Outcomes:

• Ideas and suggestions for improvement were incorporated into the system
• The unconference concept has also been integrated into staff trainings and meetings
• New communication channels were created as a result
• Team members presented about unconferences at PLA 2010
