Wandering Librarian: Greenwich Library

IMG_20160318_173856Named one of Library Journal’s 2015 Star Library, the Greenwich Library is certainly impressive. Upon walking in the building we were greeted by a simple directional poster and baskets on wheels to aid me in my book “shopping”. My husband did notice the lack of a floor plan or map letting us know “you are here”.

Greenwich also does a nice job of covering basic technology needs: internet, computers, coined operated copiers, printers, several types of microfiche & film machines and faxing service.IMG_20160318_174033

Program wise they offer a nice array of fun and practical programs for all age groups. For the more practical patron attend the Money.net training, how to cut the cable chord or coding for girls. If you’re looking to have fun attend the cooking demo, craft times or yoga for everyone.

All in all, a very impressive library. As a bonus, they are open 9am-9pm.
