Monthly Method Spotlight: Dot-Voting

DOT-VOTING

dotWhen/why: Build group consensus and prioritize which idea to pursue with dot-voting.

How:

  1. Participants are each given a set number of dot stickers.
  2. They place dot stickers next to options presented that they like (they may place any number of their dots on any number of the options).
  3. Options with the most dots at the end of voting “win”.

Tips: Variations include using different color dots to signify different values, e.g. green for “like” and red for “dislike”.
