Wandering Librarian: South Norwalk Library

Several months ago, I had the chance to visit the South Norwalk Library while I attended a holiday party in the community room. Admittedly, the physical branch is nothing to write home about.  This late 1880’s building was small & quaint. The top floor is taken up by the community room and the main floor is where the collection, reference services & technology are all located. The main floor contained all the basic things a good library should have. Luckily, what the library lacked at their physical location, they more than made up with their online location.

Disregarding some of the redundancies, the website is chock full of useful information and does a great job of advertising the fantastic services this library has to offer. For example, the library has Book a Librarian, Ask A Librarian and even Writing Coach services. The library does a great job of meeting all of the patron’s needs virtually. Next time, I’ll skip visiting the library and just use the website.
