Upcoming METRO User Experience (UX) Special Interest Group Meeting

We’ll hear from guest speakers Josh Hadro, Deputy Director of the New York Public Library (NYPL) Labs and editorial board member of the open-access Weave Journal of Library User Experience, and Alex Hylton, User Experience Ninja at Darien Library.

We’ll also have time to network with colleagues, share UX tips, and get feedback on UX projects.

SMART (Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Relevant, Time-bound) goal setting In our career development presentations, we talk about SMART (Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Relevant, Time-bound) goal setting as part of your career strategy. It’s a new year. What are your career goals for 2015?

Here are some of our goals for the year:

  • Explore and play around with some of the newer LinkedIn features (i.e. article publishing).
  • Focus on a few subject/topic areas of interest for career development.
    LC – Last year, I focused on project management and completed the project management certificate. This year, I would like to focus more on web/technology topics.
  • Refresh and update our web presences and e-portfolios.
  • Clean up our internal files, documents, etc.
