Monthly Method Spotlight: Paper Prototyping

PAPER PROTOTYPING

paper prototypingWhat: Paper Prototyping

When/why: This method is a quick way to organize, visualize, and test the design and layout of an interface (i.e. website, ATM, etc.).

How: Example scenario – You would like to create a website, maybe an e-portfolio. You have some ideas. Grab some paper and draw the design and layout of your website — how is the site organized, where does the navigation menu goes, do you need a footer, etc.

Tips: Use post-it notes, different color pens/highlighters, glue, scotch tape, scissors, etc.
